“Improving cities for biodiversity”. As urban development expands, native biodiversity in cities decreases. However, through ecologically-sensitive planning and development, and strong supporting policies, we can create cities that maintain and support urban biodiversity. The NPA’s new citizen science officer, Dr. Fran van den Berg, will discuss principles and practices which can be adopted to build biodiversity-friendly cities. Learn how you can adopt these biodiversity-friendly practices in your own backyard and community.
